ABOUT THE ROLE

OTR auto transport position hauling new and used vehicles for dealers, auctions, and manufacturers across the 48 states. Car hauling is a skilled freight category β€” loading sequence, damage documentation, and customer-facing delivery set it apart from standard OTR. If you have auto transport experience, we have consistent loads.

What car hauler drivers look for β€” and what most postings miss

Car hauling is one of the most specialized CDL segments. Drivers chose it over standard freight for a reason β€” usually higher pay and the skill premium that comes with it. The question every experienced car hauler asks before applying is about damage liability β€” who is responsible if a vehicle arrives with a scratch that wasn't documented at pickup?

  • State your damage liability policy explicitly β€” experienced car haulers have been burned before. If you have a clear inspection process and defined liability policy, say it. It's a major differentiator.
  • Auto transport experience is required β€” say it β€” loading sequence and tie-down on a multi-car carrier is a skill. Posting without this requirement wastes everyone's time.
  • Specify the carrier capacity β€” 6-car vs 10-car carriers require different skills and pay differently. State it.
  • Customer interaction is part of the job β€” dealer deliveries involve professional customer-facing interaction. Drivers who want that experience see it as a plus. Mention it.
